Fire & Life Safety Education

The Virginia Beach Fire Department’s Life Safety Education Office delivers fire and life safety educational programs and presentations to students and citizens of all ages within the community to reduce the risk of preventable injury, death, and property loss. As part of the Community Risk Reduction Division, life safety educators strive to "get ahead of the 911 call" and create a safer community by focusing outreach efforts and utilizing data-driven strategies to reduce loss before an emergency incident.
